Boise State University is a public research university located in Boise, Idaho. It was founded in 1932 by the Episcopal Church and became an independent junior college in 1934. Since 1965, it has been granting baccalaureate and master’s degrees, and it became a public institution in 1969.

 

A graduate assistantship (GA) is an excellent opportunity to work with various departments within the College of Business and Economics (COBE) or anywhere on campus while pursuing a graduate degree. COBE graduate assistants will work in one or more areas, which may include academic research and support for faculty, tutoring undergraduate students, teaching undergraduate classes, and supporting event coordination and/or marketing COBE through the Graduate Business Studies Office.

Scholarship Benefits

The Graduate Assistantship (GA) program waives all tuition and fees, provides a stipend of around $9,400 for the academic year, and requires students to work for 20 hours per week during the semester. Note that GA awards may be available only during the spring semester. Although contracts are not renewed automatically, students are eligible to apply for a second year.

Eligibility Criteria:

COBE offers a limited number of  GA positions for full-time graduate business students. To be eligible to accept an award, candidates must:

Be fully admitted to their degree program and attend full-time (9-12 graduate credits) during the award.
